This 19-pin ribbon cable connector is a replacement part for compatible PlayStation 2 controllers.

On many PS2 controllers, the original button membrane is permanently attached to the connector. Over time, contact issues can develop, causing individual buttons or entire button groups to stop working correctly.

Since the original membrane is often permanently bonded to the connector and cannot be separated, replacing the connector is frequently the only solution when installing modern aftermarket button membranes.

After replacing the connector, compatible aftermarket button flex cables can be installed to restore proper controller functionality.

Please note that different controller revisions exist. This product is the 19-pin version. Some PlayStation 2 controllers require a 18-pin connector, which is available separately in our shop.

⚠️ Installation Notes

Soldering is required.

The original connector must be removed from the controller PCB and replaced with the new 19-pin connector. Basic to advanced soldering skills are recommended.

Important: Verify the number of pins before purchasing. This connector is only compatible with controllers using an 19-pin ribbon cable connector.

Controllers equipped with a 18-pin connector require the corresponding 18-pin version.
