K-Silver TMR Analog Stick PS5 DualSense | 30–80 gf | Anti-Drift
Artikel number VAR8471
The K-Silver TMR Analog Stick is a high-quality replacement and upgrade module for Sony PlayStation 5 DualSense controllers, combining modern magnetic TMR sensor technology with individually adjustable mechanical stick tension.
The required force to move the analog stick can be adjusted from approximately 30 to 80 gf.
This allows the feel of the stick to be adapted to personal preference:
30 gf → very light and easy stick movement
80 gf → noticeably firmer stick movement
The tension can be adjusted between these values, allowing users to choose between a light, responsive feel or a firmer stick with greater mechanical resistance.
Another important feature of this version is the permanently attached thumbstick. Unlike conventional DualSense analog stick modules, the thumbstick cap is not simply pushed onto a separate shaft.
The thumbstick shown in the product images is already part of the complete K-Silver module and is installed together with the analog stick.
For position detection, the module uses TMR technology (Tunnel Magnetoresistance). Instead of conventional mechanical potentiometer tracks, the stick position is detected magnetically and without physical contact.
This makes the module suitable both for stick drift repairs and as a premium TMR upgrade for controller modding.
⚠️ Important: Installation is not plug-and-play. The existing analog stick must be desoldered from the controller mainboard and the new K-Silver TMR module correctly soldered into place. Calibration is recommended after installation.

Adjustable Stick Tension 30–80 gf
One of the main features of this K-Silver TMR analog stick is its adjustable mechanical operating force.
The amount of force required to move the analog stick can be adjusted from approximately 30 to 80 gf (gram-force).
Approx. 30 gf:
Very light setting requiring relatively little force to move the stick.
Medium setting:
Balanced feel between easy movement and mechanical return force.
Approx. 80 gf:
Firm setting requiring noticeably more force to move the stick.
This allows the stick feel to be adjusted according to personal preference or application.
⚠️ The 30–80 gf specification refers to mechanical operating force / stick tension, not electrical resistance.
TMR Technology
TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) is a magnetic sensor technology used for contactless detection of the analog stick position.
Conventional analog stick modules use potentiometers with contact tracks that are mechanically stressed whenever the stick is moved. Over time, these tracks can wear and produce inaccurate position readings, which can contribute to stick drift.
The K-Silver TMR stick instead detects its position magnetically and without physical contact.
This eliminates the sliding contact tracks typically used for position sensing in conventional potentiometers, making TMR technology an attractive alternative for controller repairs and upgrades.
Typical Fault Symptoms
Replacement may be useful for problems such as:
• Stick drift on a PS5 DualSense controller
• Character moves without user input
• Camera or cursor moves by itself
• Analog stick no longer centres correctly
• Irregular or inaccurate stick movement
• Worn potentiometers in the original analog stick
• Faulty left analog stick
• Faulty right analog stick
• Problems with the L3 or R3 stick function
The module can also be installed in a fully functional controller when upgrading specifically to TMR technology and adjustable stick tension.
⚠️ Stick drift and incorrect stick inputs can also have other mechanical or electronic causes. Replacing the analog stick therefore does not guarantee that every controller fault will be resolved.
Compatibility
✅ Compatible with:
• Sony PlayStation 5 DualSense Controller
• Left analog stick / L3
• Right analog stick / R3
• PS5 DualSense controllers using the corresponding analog stick design
❌ Not intended for:
• Sony DualSense Edge replaceable stick modules
• PS4 DualShock 4 controllers
• Xbox controllers
• Other controllers with a different stick design or pin configuration
⚠️ Please compare the physical design and connections of your existing analog stick with the product images before ordering.

⚠️ Please Note
The thumbstick on this model is permanently attached to the analog stick module. It cannot simply be pulled off the shaft or replaced with another thumbstick cap as with a conventional DualSense analog stick.
The thumbstick shown in the product images is part of the complete K-Silver TMR module and is installed together with the module.
The 30–80 gf specification refers to the mechanical operating force / stick tension and does not refer to electrical resistance.
Installation is not plug-and-play. The existing analog stick must be desoldered and the new K-Silver TMR module correctly soldered onto the controller mainboard. Calibration and functional testing are recommended after installation.
TMR technology reduces the typical sensor-related wear associated with conventional potentiometer sticks, but it cannot prevent every possible mechanical or electronic controller fault.
