PS5 Controller Dualsense Analog Stick 2,3K Ohm Replacement (Green)
Artikel number VAR8479
This 2.3 kΩ analog stick is designed as a replacement part for the Sony PlayStation 5 DualSense controller.
The complete joystick module consists of the mechanical stick mechanism, two side-mounted potentiometers for the X and Y axes, and an integrated push-button switch for the L3/R3 function.
The potentiometers have a resistance value of 2.3 kΩ and feature a green housing.
This analog stick is suitable for replacing worn or damaged modules, particularly in cases of stick drift, unwanted movement, inaccurate control, incorrect centering or mechanical damage.
It uses conventional potentiometer technology and is therefore not a Hall Effect or TMR analog stick.
Replacing the complete module requires the original analog stick to be desoldered from the controller PCB and the replacement module soldered into place. Suitable soldering equipment and experience are required.

2.3 kΩ Potentiometers
The analog stick uses two conventional 2.3 kΩ potentiometers.
One potentiometer detects movement along the X axis, while the second detects movement along the Y axis.
As the joystick is moved, the potentiometer values change, allowing the controller electronics to determine the position and direction of the analog stick.
Minor deviations from the nominal resistance value are normal due to component manufacturing tolerances.
Typical Fault Symptoms
Replacing the analog stick may be useful for problems such as:
• Stick drift
• Character movement without user input
• Camera movement without user input
• Analog stick does not center correctly
• Jumping or unstable axis values
• Inaccurate analog movement
• Incorrect dead zones or input ranges
• Mechanically damaged joystick
• Faulty X or Y axis
• Defective L3/R3 click function
Please note that stick drift can have different causes. Replacing the complete analog stick therefore does not necessarily resolve every controller fault.
Installation
To replace the analog stick, the PS5 DualSense controller must be opened and the main PCB accessed.
The original joystick module is soldered to the controller PCB at multiple points and must be completely desoldered.
The new module can then be installed and all connections soldered correctly.
Suitable tools may include:
• Soldering station
• Desoldering braid and/or desoldering station
• Flux
• Electronics solder
• Tweezers and suitable repair tools
• Equipment for working with through-hole components
Experience with soldering and desoldering multi-pin components is strongly recommended.
Compatibility

⚠️ Please Note
Before ordering, please check the 2.3 kΩ resistance value and physical design of the original analog stick.
Installation requires soldering directly to the controller mainboard. Incorrect desoldering can damage solder pads, plated through-holes or PCB traces.
Due to normal component tolerances, the center position should be checked after installation and calibration or adjustment may be required.
