SpectraNext is the successor to the well-known Spectranet and has been developed for all official Sinclair ZX Spectrum models from the 48K onwards. It connects directly to the computer's expansion port and features an integrated pass-through connector, allowing additional expansion devices to be connected simultaneously.

The interface is fully backward compatible with the original Spectranet, making it a direct replacement while adding modern wireless networking functionality.

Instead of using a wired Ethernet connection, SpectraNext communicates via WiFi, allowing compatible ZX Spectrum software to access network services over modern wireless networks.

One of its key features is the automatic handling of encrypted HTTPS connections. HTTPS traffic is transparently decrypted by the interface, allowing compatible ZX Spectrum applications to communicate with modern websites without implementing HTTPS support themselves.

Please note that SpectraNext is a hardware interface. To use its networking features, compatible ZX Spectrum software is required.
